Effects of Catecholamines on Cardiovascular Response and Blood Flow Distribution to Normal Tissue and Liver Tumors in Rats1

چکیده
The effects of infusion of adrenaline and noradrenaline were studied in rats with intrahepatic tumors, using 99nTcand 51Crlabeled microspheres. The effect on general circulation, car diac output, and tissue blood flow was pronounced, especially with infusion of noradrenaline. Studies of liver tumor perfusion ¡nrelation to surrounding liver parenchyma perfusion showed an increased tumor/liver ratio in noradrenaline-infused rats, thus indicating a preferential blood flow to the tumors induced by this drug. Adrenaline as well as 0.9% NaCI solution infusion had no effect on tumor/liver blood flow ratios. Fluorescence microscopy and monoamine determination could not reveal any noradrenaline containing nerves in the liver tumors. These experiments might suggest that the effect of intraarterial infu sion with cytostatic agents might be enhanced by a simulta neously administered vasoconstrictor such as noradrenaline.

Design- Technical assessment, experimental study. Animals- 20 healthy male Sprague-Dawley rats. Procedures- In this study, using a real-time pulsed doppler analysis, kidney hemodynamic response inc...
متن کاملThe effect of aerobic exercise on epicardial adipose tissue, insulin resistance, and some liver enzymes in high-fat diet-induced obesity male wistar rat
Background and Aim: Due to the prevalence and socio-economic consequences of obesity in mortality, cardiovascular (CAD) and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease the effectiveness of aerobic exercise on epicardial adipose tissue (EAT), insulin resistance (IR) and some liver enzymes of high-fat diet-induced obesity male wistar rats was investigated. Methods: Thirty-two male Wistar rats with an averag...
متن کاملEFFECTS OF HYPOXIC HYPOXIA AND CARBON MONOXIDE-INDUCED HYPOXIA ON THE CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM AND REGIONAL BLOOD FLOW OF THE ANESTHETIZED CAT
The purpose of this study was to investigate the potential responses of the cardiovascular system and regional blood flow to hypoxic hypoxia (BB) and to carbon monoxide (CO)-induced hypoxia (COH). Ten anesthetized cats were studied under two nonnoxic (control: CONT) and two hypoxic conditions. Four types of radioactive micro spheres were used to measure regional blood flow during CONT an...
متن کاملTissue Distribution of 125I-human Nonspecific Polyclonal IgG in Normal and Induced Inflammation Mice
Many different radiolabeled antibodies have been used for radioimmunotherapy and radioimmunoscintigraphy of human diseases in animal experiments. In order to study the in vivo tissue distribution of antibody, we labeled human nonspecific polyclonal IgG with Na125I using chloramine-T method. An animal model was developed by injecting turpentine in the posterior left thigh of Balb/c mice. Tissue ...
